My Rodan + Fields Story

1 Jun

Have you ever heard of Rodan + Fields? Some have, some haven’t. I had not heard of this amazing skincare company until last year.

It was close to Christmas and they were about to launch Lash Boost! When I first heard about the product, I was very intrigued. You see, I have always had really short eyelashes and I had always used an eyelash curler and mascara to try to get the look that I desired, so when I heard about Lash Boost I immediately wanted to know more!!! A product that can make your natural eyelashes grow and thicken?! This would completely alleviate the need for an eyelash curler and would definitely save me time when getting ready!!

I messaged Cassi, asking her the details. We had become Facebook friends based on the fact that she knew my husband. They had attended the same high school! She gave me the scoop and some info on ordering. She mentioned the business side of R+F to me but I politely turned her down. My thought was “I’m not a salesperson and I really don’t have time!” Ha!
So I received the Lash Boost for Christmas and immediately fell in love with it!! In just three weeks I started seeing some serious results!! See below:: πŸ‘‡πŸ»πŸ‘‡πŸ»πŸ‘‡πŸ»

I chatted with Cassi in February about my results and how much I loved the product. I also mentioned how envious I was because she seemed like she loved her job so much! She mentioned the business again and once again I politely said, “I really don’t think I have time.” Goodness I was not getting the hint! πŸ™„

Fast forward to April. I messaged Cassi about Rodan + Fields, expressing a little bit of interest in the business side of it. You see my sweet husband and I want to build our dream house very soon, so I wanted a way to speed up the savings process and my very first thought was R+F!!! We chatted, I talked with my hubby, and we prayed about it. I had so many thoughts about failing and not being successful, but Houston encouraged me. He told me that he fully supported me and that I was in excellent hands with Cassi as my sponsor. So I dove in…

In the first month, I have been promoted to Executive Consultant and have become so passionate about these amazing products! I never imagined loving this as much as I do. It’s funny to me how God can bring people into your life to encourage you and help you discover dreams you didn’t know you had!

I cannot wait to see what the future holds with Rodan + Fields. With God first, the possibilities are endless! I am also so thankful that Cassi is my sponsor, I know that her help and encouragement are such a blessing!

One final thing I have discovered, I LOVE helping women feel beautiful in their own skin. These products are amazing and everyone deserves to feel beautiful, because that is how God created you. You are made in His image!

I would love to help you realize how beautiful you are and help you feel good in your own skin. Comment with any questions!

Let’s Makeup!Β

20 Nov

So this post is going to be a little different than my usual posts. I wanted to do a post about my love for makeup & all my favorite products!

I have loved wearing makeup since I was a little girl. In fact, I actually wore red lipstick for picture day in Kindergarten! *Note: looking back that was not the best choice! 😜 I looked a little like this:

Okay, maybe not that bad, but you get the point! Anyway, my makeup choices and styles have greatly evolved over the years. In my teenage years I was ALL about bright colored eyeshadow! Neon green & pink, as well as bright blue and purple.

That was circa 2008! Then came the dark eyeliner phase around 2009…there were times I looked like this

Check out Hannah & Kaylee videos…link to this one in the paragraph above!

As a side note, I’m not the only one who loved putting on makeup as a little girl…my three year old niece does too!

She has on purple eyeshadow here! πŸ’œ

She even loves doing my makeup! πŸ˜‰

So now we come to the present. My style of makeup has toned down a lot since my bright pink eyeshadow days. I like a more natural look with light pink blush and light brown and nude eyeshadow. I’ve learned that wearing makeup is about highlighting the natural beauty God gave you. Here is a more recent picture…

Now I am by no means a makeup expert and everyone has their own style of applying and what products they use. I have tried many, many different brands and products ranging from all different prices. Most of the makeup I’ve discovered to be the best can be purchased at your local drugstore, however, there are a few that are more expensive but so worth the extra money! Here are my favorites:

First we have concealer. I have dark circles under my eyes and of the dozens of concealers I’ve tried, this is hands down my favorite. It is around $18 a tube, but it will last months. So worth the money!

This lovely foundation can be found at Walmart or your local drugstore. It is about $10 and is very long lasting! I’ve been using it for a few years.

Can you say “best powder EVER?!” This is it. I discovered this probably two years ago thanks to my sweet sis-in-law! It is a little on the pricey side, but worth every penny.

I’ve been using this bronzer for close to 5 years. It is low priced and one container lasts forever!

I have tried expensive blush and cheap blush. My problem was always finding a blush that lasted until the end of the work day. I discovered this jewel and I’ve been using it for close to a year!

I have used this eyeliner for years and I don’t plan on stopping! You should try it out, you’ll thank me later! 😏 This $8 eyeliner even stays on when you cry. It’s the best!!

I discovered this lovely eye pallet about a year ago. For about $10 you can have a natural eye look that is simply gorgeous!

Last, but not least…my favorite mascara. It is a little on the expensive side but it is fantastic! It doesn’t run when you cry, but comes off easily when washing your face. I have short eyelashes and this has made such a difference for me! I don’t even have to use an eyelash curler anymore!!!!! I used to do this all the time:

Not anymore though! Thanks Benefit

And there you have it, my favorite makeup products!

Please feel free to check out the links in this post, they will take you right to each product online!

Until next time…stay beautiful! πŸ’πŸ»
